While I mainly work within a particular genre of clients with specific needs, Expressive Soul Art is for everybody. If you don't identify as a woman who is an Empath, a Highly Sensitive Soul, or an Intuitive, but you're interested in a session, please don't hesitate to book a one-on-one session with me. To experience a group session, you'll need to secure the group members. 

It doesn't matter if you've never picked up a paintbrush in your entire life. Even if you've never danced, acted, or sang! Here, it's all about self-expression and intuition. The focus is on how making provides an outlet for self-expression, with whatever meaning the creator makes along the way.

If you're interested in Expressive Soul Art and you're not an emotionally intense or highly sensitive woman, I can provide one-on-one sessions. Group sessions, however, can only be booked provided you give the group members.

I'm happy to work with all ages, and you will find a Parental Consent form on this website under FORMS. 

Instead of instructional prompts, conceptual prompts are given. What that means is Expressive Soul Art is focused more on the individual expressing their self and what sort of emotions, feelings, sensations, and thoughts were experienced during the creation period, and what the final product means to the creator, rather than what the result of the art looks like.

You do need your art supplies, and most of the supplies are pretty basic. Most supplies can be found throughout your home and bought at a dollar store or even a yard sale. 

If the sessions require specific supplies, I'll always let you know what they are, and I always suggest and remind everyone to have everything before the scheduled session. Everything goes smoothly when you're prepared.  

While no two people move at the same pace, willingness and dedication play an important role. Results may vary but are more influenced when having an open mind and an open heart, and done consistently. 

This is where your journaling comes in handy, as you can go back through and read to realize your progress or to make notes where you need to pay special attention. 

My advice is that it's best to not focus on the results and instead have fun during the process. Along the way, when you look back, you more than likely will be surprised at the amount of growth you've had along your way. 

I understand It can feel a bit unsettling to share something so personal as your emotions. Not just your personal emotions, but your personal emotions expressed with art! After getting more comfortable after attending a couple of sessions, I encourage you to share even if you feel you don't want to. Remember, it's more about the emotions channeled during the process. For example, what colors did you assign to express a specific emotion? What words did you write to convey a message with a particular emotion? What shapes did you create, or what movement did you make to create your art? At times, you may not need to say a word, as your message will be loud and clear.

 I believe sharing to be one of the most essential pieces in the healing journey, as you're surrounded by those who support you to provide space for you to be seen, heard, and understood. You're welcome to express the entire range of emotions, and it also helps to remind yourselves that we're removing our inner critic and firing all of the judges. This applies to both ourselves and the group. The group is meant to listen. Ideally, you will not only never hear a group member say something negatively about your art, but you shouldn't hear too many compliments as well. This is your time to express whatever you need to express, and what better way than to have such a group that supports you in doing so? 

When you purchase a subscription, a  questionnaire is emailed to you, which you can fill out and send back. I like to familiarize myself with each person's areas of concern to accommodate everyone and organize the sessions to meet everyone's needs best.  

Group sessions typically focus on the issues both emotionally intense and highly sensitive women share. At times, I may directly ask the group what they wish to focus on for the day, and with a show of hands, or if someone is next in turn, the decision is made. Group sessions are not specifically designed to work on a person's specific areas of concern, but more often than not, they come up. It can be exciting to experience another person having similar issues. The unique perspective can help you to relate to others in a way you may not be used to, allowing creativity and problem-solving.  

Private sessions are designed to meet specific needs.

Most sessions typically last one hour.

Sometimes, you can choose which art form to express your emotions. Other times, I will lead basic instruction meant for a specific art form. 

I recommend both private and group sessions, as you get to experience the best of both worlds. As the private sessions serve one's individuality and allow someone to get to know their true self, the group brings an invaluable sense of community.

If you have the means, ideally three times a week, with one day as a private session, one day as a group session, and one day at home alone.
